Das DRK sucht zum nächstmöglichen Zeitpunkt eine/n Referent/-in für Veranstaltungs- und Wissensmanagement – Anticipation Hub (m/w/d)
Die Stelle ist im Bereich Internationale Zusammenarbeit des DRK-Generalsekretariats angesiedelt und dem Team Fachliche Entwicklung und Innovation zugeordnet. Das Team führt unter anderem ein vom Auswärtigen Amt finanziertes globales Projekt zur Weiterentwicklung der Themenbereiche Katastrophenvorsorge, Antizipation und Gesundheit unter Berücksichtigung von Querschnittsthemen wie Arbeiten im urbanen Raum, Klimawandel, Informationsmanagement und Digitalisierung durch. Der Anticipation Hub vereint als Plattform mittlerweile über 100 Partner aus 37 Länder.
Sie entwickeln und implementieren ein Wissensmanagementsystem für den Anticipation Hub und unterstützen die Konzipierung von Veranstaltungen, einschließlich der globalen und regionalen Dialogplattformen, und koordinieren und leiten deren Durchführung an.
Es handelt sich um eine Vollzeitstelle. Das Beschäftigungsangebot ist zunächst auf 2 Jahre befristet. Das voraussichtliche Projektende ist für den 31.12.2025 geplant, daher wird eine Verlängerung des Arbeitsverhältnisses angestrebt.

Manager Event and Knowledge Management (f/m/d)
The German Red Cross (GRC) is part of the International Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement, the largest humanitarian network in the world. In our work both internationally and at home, the GRC is committed to the seven principles of the Red Cross: humanity, impartiality, neutrality, independence, voluntary service, unity, and universality.
Working in the GRC National Headquarters in Berlin, you will help shape the future direction of the DRK e.V. as a national Red Cross society and umbrella organisation of non-statutory welfare organisations. Every day, you will support GRC’s work providing comprehensive aid for people in conflict situations, disasters and health or social emergency situations, solely based on their level of need.
GRC is currently seeking a Manager Event and Knowledge Management (f/m/d).
The position sits in the division International Cooperation of the GRC headquarters and is assigned to department knowledge and innovation. The department implements a global project funded by the German Federal Foreign Office to develop further the thematic areas of disaster risk reduction, anticipation and health considering cross-cutting topics such as climate change, information management/digitization etc. You are part of the Anticipation Hub, a platform to facilitate learning, guidance, exchange and advocacy on anticipatory action that gathers more than 100 partners from 37 countries hosted by the German Red Cross in partnership with the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) and the Red Cross Red Crescent Climate Centre.
You will develop and implement a knowledge management system for the Anticipation Hub and manage the design, coordination and implementation of events including the Global and Regional Dialogue Platforms.
The employment is full-time (100%). The employment offer is initially limited to two years. An extension of employment is sought, the project is scheduled to 31.12.2025.
Your tasks: • Design, execute, manage and monitor knowledge management for the Anticipation Hub team, partners and users • Provide training and guidance to the Anticipation Hub coordination team on knowledge management • Develop standardization and guidance; and provide training on organizing high-quality events • Design, coordinate and implement Anticipation Hub main events such as the Global and Regional Dialogue Platform on Anticipatory Humanitarian Action • Analyze and consolidate statistics, lessons and good practices to guide and strengthen events and knowledge management • Support the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) activities of the Anticipation Hub • Support the procurement of goods and services • Assist with communication and reporting as well as contribute to policy and advocacy activities on anticipatory action within and outside of the RCRC movement • Ensure good coordination and proactive contribution from the Anticipation Hub team, partners and users on knowledge management
Your profile:
•University degree in areas relevant to international cooperation, knowledge management, management and communication. Masters degree preferred. • At least a combined 5 years of experience in humanitarian assistance, development cooperation, international cooperation, knowledge management and/or event management. • Knowledge of knowledge management technology, social networking, and peer-to-peer collaboration tools in organizational environments • Hands-on experience in coordinating, developing and delivering large, high quality events. • Experienced in project cycle management and information technology • Knowledge of in humanitarian assistance, disaster risk reduction, climate change adaptation is an asset • Good ability to work in multicultural teams and across complex contexts • High sense of awareness and good attention to details • Highly organized and skilled in communication, training, facilitation and negotiation • Availability and willingness to travel abroad - including fitness for travel in the tropics • Fluency in English (verbal and written) is required for this position. Knowledge of German is an advantage. Knowledge of an additional UN Language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, Spanish) is an asset • Experience working within the Red Cross Red Crescent Movement is an asset
